Expect to hear lots of chatter about Generative AI.

……I think it is finally time to be offloading here and there as I think the antitrust cases in EU, US as well as Chinese copycat BS…..it’s not that it isn’t a good company, but the environment within which it now does business has gotten a LOT less hospitable.
As a professional, what do you think?
History tells us that AAPL is a ‘fast follower’. They aren’t the first, but they dramatically improve the use of products.
I expect significant announcements at the June WWDC. They need to present a clear and coherent vision for the infusion of GenAI in their product line.
I tend to think selling here is not wise, but what the hell do I know? You just cannot ignore their massive installed base. Now imagine said installed base upgrading to take advantage of GenAI-infused offerings.

However, it bears watching because the market is pricing it as an innovator that will always create the next big thing. The last two big things were a miss. Both announcements during the current calendar year, I believe. Their phone dominance is under a slow but sustained assault and the Apple Store, which generates huge revenue due to the commissions they charge, is under legal threat.
I'm not a raging bear on Apple by any means. But at some point, the market is going to ask Apple Tim what he has done lately. I don't have any position at all...just posted it as a heads up.

...of time.

Q1 revenue is up, profitability is up, and shareholders are getting good returns.

Does everything have to be part of the asinine culture wars?
What an incredibly weird post.
I’m a financial guy and I saw an interesting nugget on the number 1 or 2 market cap company in the world, depending on the day. There is generally some financial interest in these companies, even on the open forum. And what the fuck does a VR headset have to do with politics? Maybe you should check in for a stay at a spa or something.
Accuse others of that which you yourself do/are.

boat. I know Iggle did but outside of Apple making both, I don't think they are the same. EV's are a hot button because of the pandering to certain political groups. No one in their right minds believes we can get away fossil fuels. My company makes an EV charger and I don't see it going anywhere. I see the hurdles customers go through to install a handful of chargers on one site. Yes, it's cool to say they have them but I see them as a waste of money and space.
VR tech is ok when used properly. I do agree with Knute about having goggles strapped to your head. My son has one and I put it on. It kinda screwed with my vision a little bit and made me feel shitty. But I don't see this technology being shoved down our throats like the EVs.
