Al Washington (BC alum) was reportedly a finalist for the job.
Thus, DonMiller won't get any more flames thrown his way.

So he hires a play caller to show that he can be a CEO-type head coach.

Wow, that is major news. No hint of that ever.
If anyone can make BC relevant again, it's probably Bill.

1983 & 1984 they went 19-5. They beat ND in 93, 94, 99, 01, 02, 03, 04, 05, 06,07. They had decent seasons then. ND football thought BC was relevant during those years. Flutie, Tom O'Brien. They had some really lean years too. No doubt about it. It took a Deke Cooper tackle of Mike Cloud at the goal line late in the game to prevent yet another loss to irrelevant BC. Coach Bill can shake things up perhaps in the weak ACC.
A little surprising though, because winning at BC will be even tougher with the NIL and Portal.
And O’Brien would probably make around the same amount of money as an OC in the NFL.
As the only other Catholic FBS school besides ND, I hope he does good things at BC.
At PSU navigating them thru the scandal yrs.

Since the head coach is leaving, do the players get to portal transfer out? Even the ones that just got there through the portal?
