Think about the hand-wringing about the precipitous drop in the trust Americans have for our institutions, and then you have law enforcement itself trying to keep the public ignorant? How will that affect public trust? It has already become this craven and dangerous: There have been many cases over the past few years where a violent perp is on the loose, and both the media and the police have refused to offer descriptions of the suspects. Priorities!
And to everyone above the rank of idiot, it is manifest that this dishonesty and obfuscation will produce precisely the type of conclusion that they don't want to produce.
