Let's see California in their report. their data collecting time started at 1/1/2021, as they did on most states. So, basically they start their counting from the vaccine roll out date. But how many people got vaccinated in Jan? very very few. Of course virtually all the deaths in Jan are allocated to unvaccinated death column. Same applies to Feb, March and April by then still only about 10% of population was vaccinated. Americans didn't really start mass vaccination until May when everyone became qualified and J&J vaccine was cleared. If you count 2-3 week period between shots and 2 weeks after 2nd shot when as they say the vaccine becomes fully effective, I would say June is the time when mass got vaccinated. The bottom line, they basically allocate all the deaths to the unvaccinated from Jan to May when the pool of vaccinated was very small, which is true but very misleading.
