It most certainly is more reliable than an NBC poll which has a history of political agenda.
There is a huge discrepency in the numbers claimed by NBC and the CDC tracking data (yes,the CDC has info on 58% of those vaccinated, but at the same time, it is data in the tens of millions and the sample size greatly augments the power of the study. Further there is neough difference in vaccination rates between groups (the effect) that it is also big enough to lend to the power of the study.
I feel really comfortable relying on thse numbers from the CDC on rates based on this. I do not have the same confidence in an NBC poll. In the spirit of following the science, the CDC info should get the nod here.
