I've never understood this type of thinking. You want to reward millions of people for breaking the law. Meanwhile, countless millions wait their turn to enter the United States legally. Giving illegal amnesty is a tremendous slap in the face to them, not to mention we continue to give wrongdoers incentive to do wrong.
I'm not in favor of wholesale deportations except for the criminal element, but I say let these people continue to twist in the wind, mandate e-verify for all employers, and instead of a physical border wall, I'd like to see a wall of border patrol agents.
I'm not un-empathetic to the plight of illegal immigrants; it could easily have been any one of us through an accident of birth. But the United States can't rescue all people.
