First, my beliefs:
I believe Trump was well within his rights as a president to have such a discussion with Zelensky. Further, i know that this is pure politics as do you (there were no calls for then VP Biden's impeachment by the Left when he announced doing the very same thing the Left now accuses Trump of doing).
And I believe that the dirty Deep State leaks with a complicit liberal media has been incredibly unfair to Donald Trump as no other president would ver be able to function under the "Resist" movement. Also, take note of how the whistleblower rules were changed just prior to this complaint so that the WB does not have to directly witnes the event, and subsequently this past weekend, of Clapper's open call to the Deep State this wekend to come forward "if you think you may have seen or heard - even second hand- of something illegal related to president Trump"
Now, my question:
But this whole thing is a nonstarter if there were not laws broken. So I am asking separate from the above comments.....did Zelenski reopen an investigation before he received the aid from the US? We know that the aid was released before the "whistleblower" complaint. We also know that Zelenski has said that he did not feel pressured in any way. So, if there was no "response to pressure" of reopening the investigation into Hunter Biden's dirty deeds, then this whole thing doesn't have anything to stand on. Of course, the Dems will impeach Trump in the House - they have the majority, and they are insane. But is there any evidence that will convince Republicans (at least those not being blackmailed and other than NeverTrumpers).
