If so, that is kind of weird. I don't think anyone thinks that nukes are in play in this discussion. The fact that you would mention them indicates you haven't thought much about this issue.
Seriously, do you think that is remotely a possibility? If so, why would you support giving government control over anything?
If you think that there is no way that a well regulated militia can keep a nuclear power from controlling the populace, then I guess I have to ask: Have you ever heard of a place called Vietnam? They won. All a militia has to do to win is deny control long enough. They do not have to defeat an armored brigade in combat on an open field of battle...they do not have to have nukes...they just have to deny control for long enough for the government to give up trying to be tyrannical. Militias don't need comparable arms, but they do need sufficient arms. I would suggest that a semi-automatic (not automatic) rifle is sufficient.
