If ND wins out, BK and Chris Peterson will be only active D1 coach with three separate 12-0 seasons.

When comparing resumes, I want the guy who didn't get two seasons vacated..

Swarbrick made a hell of a bet on Kelly and was right

"and was right"..??? Shit, I missed it...we won a Championship under Kelly!?!?!?

Swarbrick had just given Kelly a long term extension prior to 2016...so the buyout was enormous.

Agree it wasn't done in a vacuum. And my recollection is the crop of coaches available wasn't great

LOVE the way Peterson coaches..will Kelly's other one still count since entire season was vacated?

Chrisb

I still think it is a big "if." But it will be a feather in Kelly's cap if he pulls it off.

Kelly best since Holtz, not saying much. My gripe, he doesn't make needed game adjustments

O'Leary was the best hire since Holtz, unfortunate we couldn't have been a little more forgiving..

Fair enough, but I thought his year that ND staff have adjusted notably better, and the Pitt game...

We are in agreement. They were running the "Rees" defense.

I remember Jonas would have flashes where he looked Ricky Williams like, but

Agree, Book has a tendency to overthrow WR's deep. But mix up the play book (no pun intended)

Hitting deep passes opens all those things up, though.
