Is an interesting measure of “success”.
Beating and at least competing with the top 10’s and top 5’s is a better barometer of success.
Kelly falls very short in those categories.
3-8 vs top 10 in season
2-12 vs final top 10
0-5 vs Top 5 in season.
1-9 vs Top 5 final ranking.
10 years produces adequate data sets.
For instance, If Kelly wins out and gets to a major bowl and beats a quality opponent, that would be a success.
With his track record, I would say that is very unlikely. It shouldn’t be.
