1. while I agree the WR position has been a mess, is one position enough to say that talent evaluation on offense isn't high level? Literally every other offensive position has been getting recruited at high high levels. Safety hasn't exactly been killing it on defense.
2. As you pointed out, the coach for that position has been replaced and a higher volume of high level guys have been seemingly recruited/interested since then.
3. A deeper look reveals exactly why the WR room is a mess, and while things haven't been fixed yet in Freeman's first two years, those two years aren't what caused the problem. If you look at the WRs brought in the 3 years prior to Freeman vs 3 years since, it's pretty obvious higher caliber guys are being brought in (although bringing in only 1 WR for 22 when we needed 3 minimum is on him/Suckey).
