evidence I provided shows...so that's a big strike against making guns easily available...i.e. they are more dangerous than helpful to society in that respect.
Now let's turn to protection of the home from bad guys trying to invade it...the data clearly shows that there are many more accidental deaths to children, as well as spousal deaths due to impassioned arguments due to guns in the home...as opposed to thwarted invasions...again, a societal strike against guns in the home.
Every nation populated by human beings like here in the U.S. that has strong restrictions on gun ownership also has a much lower per capita firearms related death rate...this is not a complicated calculation.

Now, as regards Afghanistan...I did a search of your recent posts on the matter...seems to me that your comments are actually Tim Kennedy's on 'Joe Rogan'...is that right?...btw, I watched it. Unlike some others on the board, you deserve a reply...assuming you were/are relying on that JR segment, here are my thoughts...
>Tim Kennedy's comments were centered on the problems in getting democracy loving, and U.S. supporting, Afghanis out of the country...
>Trump never cared about getting ANY Afghanis out...back in 2017 he 'neutered' the Special Visa program that would have made it much easier to extract those people, even on short notice.
>Trump set a ridiculously short period of time with his Taliban deal...just a little over three months from when Biden took office...btw, as we've seen, there was not much co-ordination on the Transition, and that no doubt extended to the Afghan situation...(Note: DJT reportedly tried to make it even worse by ordering an exit on Jan. 15th)
- ONLY 2,500 TROOPS were on the ground for the entire country when Biden took over...no way to increase the number without breaking the deal and having the Taliban attack U.S. troops.
- All our assets in Afghanistan needed to be removed, especially those at Bagram...assets that couldn't be removed needed to be made as useless as possible to the Taliban (and others).
and that was a priority mission as I understand it.
>Biden bought more time by negotiating an August/September withdrawal...
- Biden was able to cobble together the assistance of other countries to allow over 120,000 Afghanis out of the country...not ZERO...was it pretty?...absolutely not, but w/o more troops it was a
Huge accomplishment compared with what it would have been under Trump's total lack of planning for that objective.
I could go on, but you should get the picture...Tim Kennedy's book would look a whole lot worse if Biden simply implemented the Trump Deal...probably an order of magnitude greater number of murders of Afghanis by the Taliban...and that's what the whole "Afghanistan" issue was all about.
