activism?...if not, know that the GOP fought tooth and nail to defeat those efforts...if you need any more evidence of which party has the public's best interests...and not moneyed self interests...you're beyond edification.
As to the topics you bring up...
>The LGBTQ community of U.S. citizens are indeed being oppressed...just look at DeSantis' "Don't Say Gay" initiative. That is simply unjust and I've used the example of Alan Turing's oppression as a clear example of how stupid that is more than once....fortunately, 71% (and rising) of Americans could care less if gays and lesbians choose to get married...but there are still laggards who oppose it...don't be one of them.
btw, NO ONE is oppressing straight, or white people...that's just an attempted cover story for continued oppression by a vile subset of them.
>The number of people who can't afford the basic needs of life is increasing...and expanding...to include what was the middle class. This is due to the dramatic expansion of our nation's 'Wealth Gap' which is caused by an unwillingness of the top 1% to share the fruits of increased productivity produced by ALL members of the economy...we can, and should, revisit that topic which I've brought up before...in short, the 'Horatio Alger' story is being way oversold.
>Democrats DO NOT support non-citizens voting in national elections...fact. btw, when it comes to local elections, there is precedent in 14 states (Red and Blue) for non-citizens to vote...and there are good reasons for that suffrage.
>'Regulations' are imposed when trying to correct a problem...the EPA was created under Nixon because of numerous and very serious environmental abuses conducted by various industries...clearly, the pursuit of profit needs to be balanced by the public interest...can regulations become burdensome and counter-productive?...absolutely, and I know from personal experience in the nuclear industry how out of touch with reality it can get...BUT, that only means that more focus on specifics is needed...not a wholesale rejection of "Regulations"...make any sense?
>As for rushing 'Green Energy', we are 'Way Behind' IMO in this area...note my background in Nuclear Power...should have started decades ago shifting away from FFs...Climate Change is real, and our country has only 5 years of Proven Oil Reserves left (EIA fact)...even if we triple that number tomorrow, we are still in imminent danger...you need to digest these realities and act accordingly...i.e. push your congressional reps to speed up the transition while doing the hard work of keeping the plane flying...it's a tough challenge, but there's no other choice.
The sooner you appreciate how totally screwed up the GOP has become, the sooner you'll be able to add your voice and vote to getting better leadership in that party...we need TWO SANE parties to conduct our democracy...right now there's only one...the Democratic Party.
