Long shot populist neophyte candidates. horrific misallocastion of campaign funding, neglected focus on critical voting groups, ineffectual messaging regarding abortion, and Trump's drag effect witrh independents.

It's all so clear today... why did no one see it coming?

What's worse is that it's unlikely that any of this gets fixed.

Result: the Dems can win regardless of how badly they govern.

Our best hope is a perpetually divided government.
