I do not support legislation that seeks to codify what gets taught in classrooms.

It is a form of censorship. Please note that it is always Republican majority legislatures that enact such culture war legislation.

I leave it to parents and principals to monitor what schoolchildren are taught.

And I believe that critical race theory is often taken out of context, and has become a political toy for the right and the right’s news outlets. See link.

That is, it is overblown and part of a “fear” agenda to frighten folks that Suzie and Johnny are being taught their parents are racists or that Suzie and Johnny are being groomed.

It just seems like nonsense to me.
