The attached, and rather expansive, survey by PEW Research shows that there is quite a diversity of opinion within the Black community. I've highlighted the page that deals with Black Americans' views on the importance of Voting Rights...and nearly two-thirds believe it is very important to their future hopes and dreams of equality.
Yet, just recently, in the early part of this year the GOP used its filibuster power five times to deny Black Americans a Democrat sponsored Voting Rights Bill...the Black community can see and judge for themselves who they can rely on...and who they can't....that's why the majority vote Democratic.
As for the issue of rampant stealing from stores...this is not a 'white collar' practice...i.e. the perpetrators are typically very low on the income scale, and with our ever increasing Wealth Gap, the 'incentive' to steal can only rise...IMO, while certainly not the only cause...it is the root of the problem.
