all the energy and clear thinking you could ask for...he looked extremely comfortable, even when aggressively confronted...turning the whole situation to his advantage...wise...controlled...and 'Assertive' in the right way...again, very impressed...glad he'll be in the WH the next two years.
That being said, you and Carville make a very good point, which is why I said "even if he chooses not to run"...personally, I think he'd be very happy to hand over a Democratic administration with a "CV" of accomplishments that was built on what he's already accomplished to another candidate...any of which would defeat Trump.
As for other GOP candidates, RDS is untested on the national stage...didn't do very well in his debate with Charlie Crist, and is burdened by his reliance on Culture War rhetoric...butur then again, so are all the others...we'll have to see if the Republican Party can put up a clear and believable vision for the future, which will be very challenging.
