i.e. those who are struggling just to stay on tour....but it's clear that J&J have years of friendship already in the books...nice to see.
Just a note on the struggling pros...I and a few friends would go each year to local tour qualifying at places like Fort Ord/Blackhorse...honestly, off the tee, they all look like they could get there and stay there. A poignant memory is back around the year 2000, or late 90's when I watched Jeff Julian for his whole round at Blackhorse...I didn't say a thing during that time other than to clap at his and others' good shots...afterward, I stopped by the clubhouse as the final scores were tabulated...he noticed me and without me asking for anything (never ask for autographs), he signed a golf ball and gave it to me in thanks for being there and encouraging (very, very few people attend those 'events'...still have the ball)...fast forward to 2004 and I see that he died from ALS. There's a less glamorous side to that game...takes a fair amount of courage, as well as skill, to play out there.
Looking forward to the rest of the episodes...as for LIV, that has been Greg Norman's quest since the mid-90's...but when Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus rejected him, never mind Rory, I'm not cheering for golfers who want to be paid before they tee it up.
