Papal infallability is forcing him to dance around the issue he wishes he didn't. It is wrong, and he can dance around it all that he wants, but when pressed, he says it is wrong. He tried to issue a damage control follow up clarification saying. "I was talking about catholic moral teaching"....well yeah. The follow up just reconfirmed it. Pope Francis is a very flawed pope, but even he must live within the bounds of papal infallability which does not (as most people wrongly think) give a pope ultimate power to dictate terms, but instead prevents a bad pope from corrupting the doctrine of the Church.
