I was a lean to the Republican side of things before Reagan. When he was the nominee I had to take a long hard look
at what would or could be my perspective in politics because I knew then as I know now, Reagan held none of my ideals,
none.
Reagan was a showman for the sake of popularity and appeared to have no foundation other than to be popular, much like
W Bush. I was right on both accounts. He didn't have a clue about economics and he didn't seem all that knowledgeable
when it came to global issues. He sure as hell didn't like those who didn't have wealth and he couldn't care less about
this nation. In his time it may come across as off but saying "...Tear down that wall" doesn't make him all that smart or
savvy or the great leader. Much like Trump, he stepped in it and never seemed to be caught in anything.
Barnes will be vilified by the R's and those on this board and Carter will remain the good guy (they will say without leadership qualities
like Reagan) in their minds and statements.
Carter was good for this country especially after, Vietnam, Nixon and Ford (the pardoning of Nixon) and would have succeeded had
it not been for people like Reagan and his cohorts.
Reagan = Treason,.
