per that' article, the GOP has dramatically cut funding for the IRS over many years...that article is from 2018 and the situation is no better today....btw, it isn't just the super-wealthy and corporations that the IRS needs to audit, but also the GOP's misuse of tax-exempt "Non-Profits" that are a source of campaign funding..
The IRS is the agency that ensures Congressionally approved tax laws are adhered to so that our Military, FEMA, Dept. of Commerce, Health Care, Farm Aid, and other programs are funded...nothing at all wrong with that...right?
The IRS needs that increased funding...thankfully, Biden got it.
