I remain convinced that a chunk of voters connect with Trump’s core White Power message that “they’re trying to replace you” fear mongering narrative.
But, that segment of voters isn't nearly enough to win in November.
The other chunk seemingly connects with Trump being an outsider, someone unwilling to play by the establishment or institutional rules, including the rule of law and the Constitution. These voters somehow feel cheated or abandoned by life or by our institutions, and feel Trump is their rescue horse.
Misguided voters for sure. Disinformation seemingly works. Too many voters have lost the capacity to scrutinize or think through information. Too many voters recklessly cling to a single item as their guide in deciding who they vote for.
Biden’s accomplishments and leadership has not translated to support. Candidate Biden needs to figure it out, but I haven’t seen any movement, even after the State of the Union.
If Trump is elected in November, America will learn a painful and shameful lesson. We are on full notice.
