I had a video from a lecture at ND which I cannot link at this time.
The Buck V Bell SCOTUS decision lives in infamy with the Dredd Scott case in US history. It supported the states right (Virginia and others) to forcefully sterilize people that they didn't feel "had the right stuff". It was a decision lauded by Margaret Sanger - founder of Planned Parenthood.
It was a decision pushed by the American Eugenics Movement of the turn of the 20th century being pushed by liberal elites. This movement had great influence on Hitler who actually studied the case. And the Buck V Bell case from the US was actually used by the Nazi's in their defense at The Nuremberg Trials..."We did this, but you have Buck v Bell which espouses the same philosophy and tactics".
A recent 2021 review of the 9 most commonly used history textbooks in high schools around the US reveals no mention of this case nor of the Eugenics Movement. We see it rising again...again with the progressives of our time. Yet nobody knows. "We would never do what the they did" say the people going down the exact same pathway.
