when reading the article? Scientific American, like most publications, is duty bound to protect its readers from misinformation which has surged over the last decade or more. Sadly, the author presents several examples of extreme fringe science as if they had been rejected without cause...one in particular is the "Great Barrington Declaration"...a theory promoted in the midst of a raging pandemic, without a vaccine or effective and available treatment,...and no plan, whatsoever, for implementation, nor an assessment of risk.
