This isn't one of those Cubs teams of the early 90's that played better/hustled more in front of their raucous home fans. Or one of those Braves teams in 1989 or 1990 where you thought "I might get to see a young Smoltz or Glavine today."
This team does everything poorly at an historic level. They have a 300-run deficit (!!!). Offensively, they're the worst at getting on base, the worst at hitting for power, they draw the fewest Walks, and they've scored 100 fewer runs than the next worst scoring team.
Pitching-wise, they have the worst E.R.A., F.I.P., W.H.I.P., and Hits/9. They even have the most Balks!!!
Compounding the problem: It's not like they're a young team waiting to develop. They're older than the league average.
I don't know if I've seen a team this bad.
