I've taken the South Shore dozens of times from Gary to Chicago without incident. We were packed on the South Shore like sardines for the White Sox, Cubs, and Blackhawk parades. Driving would have been a nightmare. We use it to go to the car show, museums, or just plain hanging out and eating there. Of course, this was all before covid, antifa, BLM, roving teens, and illegals causing hell. This was before activists took over ciity hall and the mayors office. Anyway, back to the original story. We may find out that the victims were all homeless sleeping on the train. Over the weekend we had a random stabbing of a 14 year old girl in NW Indiana watching her brother's baseball game. Police arrested a Honduras illegal who was already deported but came back under Harris / Biden open border plan.
