I've always said that it would be a bloodbath if we went one building over and asked the folks in the actual sciences to review the "research" of the humanities and social sciences. Even some philosophy profs would have field days.
Those manuscripts would be filled with red ink, reading like this: "How do you know this to be true?" "Research in the area of __________ says otherwise." "This conclusion does not follow from your premise."
