"UAH Satellite Based Temperature of the Global Lower Atmosphere"...i.e. the data is not dependent on local surface readings...it represents the entire Troposphere of the planet.
Note the recent spiking with temperatures remaining near the new high...as well as the unavoidable trend upward since satellite data was first taken. Note also that Gulf of Mexico water temperatures have hit record highs (upwards of 101 deg. F), which means that more than normal amounts of water vapor are entering the atmosphere, turning into clouds that then release the water over land masses, like Florida.
The people around Tampa "Get It" and are anxiously seeking ways of protecting themselves from repeated flooding events like with Helene and Milton...don't make it harder for them by trying to distract with CC denials.
