Do you know Plaza Accord that completely changed US from disadvantage position to a favorable position against both Japan and Europe?
No, you don't. Because you don't know Reagan's playbook, of course you don't understand Trump's plan which is from Reagan's playbook. Like Reagan, Trump uses tariff, trade war... as tools to negotiate for a favorable position. The goal is to tell China, don't dare to open your EV plant in Mexico. I won't allow a single EV to enter US market with my tariff.
You need to come Midwest US to open EV plants, teach GM how to make EV. This is just like Tayota, Honda opened car plants in Kentucky and Ohio after Reagan won trade war.
