Obviously, Dukakis, Mondale, Carter, McGovern all performed terribly, but each of them could answer questions and speak intelligently. They can't leave her alone and unscripted for 30 seconds. It's been said a million times, but her default when speaking or trying to answer questions is the middle school student who has to give a book report in front of the class and didn't read the book. And we're not supposed to point out how amazingly lazy and entitled this is because that would be racist or sexist or something.
