Sam Brinton was not required to be confirmed by the Senate...and his MIT degree in Nuclear Science, plus experience made him well qualified for that position...plus he had no criminal history before his selection as evidenced by his DOE Top Secret clearance...unlike our current President who is also awaiting trial on several other felonies.
So, I don't believe Biden would have lost 7M votes, given his already known support for LGBTQ+ persons...being a homophobe, you were already a "No" vote, so that didn't matter.
