Did he say he would pick the best candidate of middle eastern descent?
None of this makes me feel uncomfortable. I trust that Trump picks for reasons other than ethnicity, because, for better or worse, I don't think he cares about races. I think he cares about the qualifications of people. He's an MLK equality minded guy, not a DEI-minded racist. Having said that, the Left focuses mostly on race, and is quick to say there are too many whites, so pointing out non-whites is a reasonable way to head off criticism from DEI-racists.
