a south korean movie made in 2018. You can watch it from Netflix or other streaming service. To watch it on YouTube, its default caption is russian, you can can change it to English.
Background:
About 2 months ago South Korean president Yoon Suk-yeol plotted a plan that would give him justification to declare martial law that would ban opposition party's activities because Yoon accused them of collaborating with North Korean communists to create some sort dictatorship (sounds familiar to Americans?).
Yoon Suk-yeol's confidant, defense minister Kim Yong-hyun ordered the drone incursion to north korea capital Pyongyang. The drones dropped regime-change leaflets over the capital. How serious is it? Just imagine what if a country hostile to U.S. sent drones to DC and drop Anti regime leaflets.
Yoon Suk-yeol's plan is, by doing this, to provoke North Korea into retaliation. Then he would issue martial law. This background is what related to the movie "The Spy Gone North". If you knew this background you will enjoy the movie better. If you watched the movie you will understand what happened in south korea recently better.
The moral of the movie is, the deep states of any country, regardless of democratic or communist, all are same. They operate in their way to achieve their own agenda, independently of state's political leadership.
PS. As we all knew, North korean's response to drone incusion however was just a warning, no military actions. Nevertheless Yoon Suk-yeol still foolishly declared martial law later for a different reason. Also, defense minister Kim Yong-hyun already resigned.
