yearly storage averages (see chart). It's the previous year's drought affecting all the vegetation in the hills around L.A., along with hurricane force winds that caused this catastrophe...and they are the products of Climate Change. The Lorba Linda water expert also seems to assume that the Colorado River hasn't been affected by CC and will keep providing 60% of SOCAL's water needs...he should know better since all seven states bordering it are struggling to work out an allocation plan for the future that factors in the sharp decline in available water from Mountain snow packs, etc.
Not the best source of information on the L.A. fires I've seen recently.
