that aids corporations conducting business there...and those bills need to be paid...15% doesn't seem onerous to the G20...we'll see how my beloved Ireland responds...perhaps they'll buy a few extra rounds of Guinness for DELL, Google and HP on St. Patrick's Day ;-).
IMO it's vitally important that we have global capitalistic commerce, but 'Capitalism' is not without its faults, and this is where the art of maintaining balance between economic and social issues comes into play. There will always be fluctuations in government regulations...the degree to which they are applied is largely in response to how much awareness corporations have of their environment (people as well as a 'nature') and how they independently take action to maintain that balance.
This thread begs a much larger discussion on several issues, including Wealth Disparity, which is close to my heart.
