By your logic, no Congressperson can vote for changing the tax code, or even against insider trading
But, we actually know that if a Democrat were proposing a change to the tax code, or subsidies, or whatever, you would support them even if they had taken advantage of them. You first find out who is the Democrat, then you decide your position regarding that person. Not a cult.
