I'm guessing it was Spring '64 when WSND played nothing but Beatles songs all day long, and

virtually every Dorm window was open blasting them out to those walking the South and North Quads...the rest is history.

Edit:...seemed longer, but report says it was just for an hour...and just one song..."I Wanna Hold Your Hand"...yet the Dorms certainly played it out their windows.
