If the US did not pledge naval and air support, Canada would have to build, train, and staff their own - much more than they presently do. If Canada were to do that - carry their own weight with defense, that would ease the burden to the US taxpayer (whom again, you don't give a shit about - I noticed that you excluded that part of your selective quote of me).
No specific defense money is directed at "Canadian defense" or "to Canada" because the US has built a navy and air force big enough to defend the region with the knowledge that the Canadians were not up to the task in the past. That does not have to continue to be the case. (I spell this all out for you now because I forgot how much of a concrete thinker you really are and I had assumed that you could see the obvious implied meaning of my statement - sorry).
You're view is that that "we would have to do it anyways" which is in itself, another form of the appeasement policy that you so dearly love.
A further point for Your Concreteness: I do not want to change our agreement with Canada. I want them to get China's military THE FUCK OFF THE NORTH AMERICAN CONTINENT.....you know, like they are actually a real ally.
I'm cutting The Hosers some slack because the did just rid themselves of a big part of the problem - Son of Castro. And it looks very likely that the same common sense that swept through the US has also swept through Canada which we will see this Fall on Oct 20 when the real federal election happens.
I am sorry to have to tell you this, but everything that you were taught and believe about FP came from incompetents. Garbage in: garbage out.
