Zelensky wants more arms and money and said he wants assurances (NATO membership is being inferred for those who don’t realize it - which cannot be given)

Zelensky was willing to be impertinent and bring in the Trump/Russia collusion myth to the American Left. From his point of view, perhaps a last ditch effort? The context of Zelensky campaigning for the Dems in PA in the Fall cannot be overlooked.

From my pov, the Ukrainians may have already lost their democracy with Z’s election suspension - not sure. But Zelensky will either take the deal or the US is out as it should be.
Maybe the Euoros will grow a pair, but I doubt it.

I do agree with Zelensky’s concern that if we get another Biden or Obama that Putin may invade again, but that one is on you my friend.

We are more fed up with a hopeless war than we are with a socially inept leader. Trump should not have allowed this to go on publicly, but privately, he should have been told the same things.
Zelensky was incredibly irresponsible to his people whom he has now put at great risk by threatening support from its biggest ally - all to keep the war going that they don’t want anymore (that is what Vance was referring to about being unable to get conscripts). One has to wonder about him.

At this point, Zelensky either takes the deal now, gets the Euros involved, or gives the rest of his country over to Russia.
