intelligence operations targeting Russia....ie...it was specific to the Ukrainian conflict.
Further, the story was Martin Matishek at The Record. I read it and had the same feeling when I read other TDS posts here. It assumed the worst possible POTENTIAL impacts with the assumption that Hegseth's staff would not be aware of any of the concerns that this nonmilitary reporter had or that they are under Putin's control - both absurd assumptions.
Even further, it was an order done preceding the WH Zelenskyy meeting specifically because the Trump Adm expected a cease fire. A cease fire means a cease of hostilities. It was an expected action. It was a reasonable action. It was a necessary action to get peace. Zelenskyy's behavior was not expected (but perhaps should have been since he actively campaigned for Harris in PA in the Fall of the election - foreign power tampering with election claims never came from the MSM on that one btw).
There is no mention whatsoever that the order stood for any longer than the Zelenskyy meeting melt down. There is no evidence whatsoever that such an order persisted after the meeting, and the department does not discuss anything with the press. It did reveal that there is a another Deep State mole within the department who broke an oath of secrecy that needs to be hunted down and prosecuted though. As a military man, you understand why. This story was particularly harmful since it feeds into all the fears of the Trump Haters in this country.
Unlike you, I trust Trump and his department picks. I am losing no sleep over this.
