1) You're relying on the NYT - BIG mistake proven over and over.
2) I am quoting other sources that say that the ops were specific to the Ukrainian conflict region.
3) Again, this was done just before the meeting which unexpectedly went south - there is no way that the US is "turning everything off against Russia". It is absurd to claim that.
4) Why do you think that it continues?
5) How do you know that Russia was not stopping theirs? Do you think the NYT has special sources inside the Putin military cyber ops division? I'm sure that they either communicated with each other in anticipation of a cease fire and again when no cease fire.
Why would you think otherwise unless you're a TDS'er?

^ Military aid was halted because after a weekend love tour in Europe, Zelenskyy was told by the EU that while they would provide some assistance, they still want the US to be the primary funder/supplier. Zelenskyy was told by Trump aids today that the time to move for peace is now.
Zelensky quadrupled down in a tweet today that said the end of the war was "far, far away" which is a clear indication that he is not ready for peace talks unless he gets membership in NATO - a nonstarter for all (and Z knows it).

Thus, the US "wants to make sure that our contributions are going toward a solution".
I think that the wording is perfect. because Trump (and I) want peace and no more part of this unwinnable kill fest.

The reason nothing is being focused on Putin is because he agreed to come to the table, but Zelensky hasn't done so yet - at the huge detriment to his people. Zelenskyy's actions appear to be that of a potentially budding dictator as well as I've gone over.

We can't force Zelenskyy to agree to a cease fire and have peace talks that can focus on Putin's issues, but we don't have to be a part of this futile sink hole anymore either which we frankly can't afford anyways.
