Why are US companies importing so much? National Union contracts!

Ford and GM have to go to Mexico to compete with the Eiros and the Asians.

This is far more the reason for the US losing the manufacturing trade war than foreign tariffs.

The foreign car makers locate in non-union states and keep their labor costs in check
