Wisconsin already required voter ID

Wisconsin already had a law, in place since 2016, requiring voters to show photo identification at the polls or to vote absentee. The now-adopted amendment to the state's constitution did not address whether to get rid of or keep that law. Enshrining the voter ID law in the state constitution will make it harder for a court to strike down the law or for lawmakers to repeal it in the future.

  • Will voter ID trump gerrymandering in Wisconsin AND will this become a national trend? [LINK] - Curly1918 - 8:49am 4/2/25 (4) [View All]
