The capitulation of law firms and universities enabled Trump. Trump expects people, entities, and people to beg him for mercy.

The notion that the shock and awe of his tariffs as a bold and brilliant trade negotiation tactic is foolhardy. Individuals and nations have long memories. They will stand up to the bully. They will be less inclined to help or play ball when we need them.
