His argument is that he was dealing with a hastily set up government constitution from 1989 that was ill conceived and easily undermined. He was frustrated by laws that were passed but then negated by the courts, and he was fighting the influence and organized efforts of Soros as well.
I do not agree with what he did there, i believe that it was wrong based on what I can find. It sounds very much like the Democrats here in the US who talk about changing the electoral college because they are frustrated with the system. Soros' threat is real, and his influence on the media can be noted in the bias of many of the media articles.
Still, Orban never came under such withering attack until he opposed the LGBTQ movement. This is another area where Soros has a hand. Joe Biden called him a "totalitarian dictator" because of that opposition, and it isn't true. Google his name and look at the usual suspects and their scathing articles. A concerted effort.
Regarding the claim that Orban is restricitng freedom of the press is ridiculous. Your article highlights the plight of a couple - a tiny 2 person operation, whose news site is not taking off. They complain about not being given an invitation to a news conference, and that the government does not direct any of its' advertising dollars toward them. Do you realize that Joe Biden selects his WH reporters in the same way? Do you realize that the US does the same thing when it takes out ads? Do you realize China takes out ads in US papers the same way?
You are being manipulated on this. The media is magnifying and exagerating flaws in order to remove a guy who has now crossed the line of opposing the Gay Mafia agenda. And yes, Soros is almost certainly behind the withering attack.
