Here's something to chew on...back in the days after WWII, the top U.S. marginal tax rates were close to 90% which got the message to top wage earners..."Go ahead an give each other incredible salaries...all the more for Uncle Sam"...of course, being smart business people, they realized that made no sense and the ratio of exec-to-avg. worker pay was on the order of 20:1...fast forward to today, after drastic reductions in tax rates for the upper income folks...that ratio is now on the order of 300:1...are execs that much more productive than the non-exec workers???
