Because you approach Trump from the worst possible perspective plays into it. Also, the fact that you are fairly concrete in your thinking factors in as well. Sometimes too, it is the total lack of humor among liberals that comes into play. Then there are the times that Trump just fucks with your minds because it is fun and you all deserve it for what you put him through (an example of this is his 3rd term talk).

The leader of the US IS the leader of the free world. That person DOES run the economy which runs the free world. That is simple economic fact. Add in the military super power factor, and it is even more so.
He isn't claiming that he is the king of the world, he is stating fact.
You, as a believer in leadership via lifelong unelected professional bureaucrats, don't like to hear this. You as a globalist are ESPECIALLY bothered by this statement.

Trump is bluntly stating a fact that you don't like and in a way that you don't like.
