"Silencers" (which don't actually silence) are a safety device.

They merely reduce noise to safer levels, especially when using subsonic rounds. They do not reduce shots to a whisper like Hollywood would have you believe. This is why suppressors aren't actually called "silencers" by those in the know.

In Europe, many ranges requires them, and in some places it is rude not to use them.

Defending your home or family should not require you to go deaf.

"Silencers" should be freely available for purchase, and freely transferable.

As it is, you have to submit fingerprints, pay a fine, and hire a lawyer so you can own them via a trust with named beneficiaries.

Imagine trying to harrass people by restricting access to hard hats or work gloves...or hearing protection......or making landscapers only buy extra loud, ear damaging power equipment, and prohibiting safe equipment.

Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then it tries to silence good.
