Elon was in charge of cutting the fat. Some of it was needed, most of it wasn’t needed. He pledged a $2 trillion savings. He essentially saved $150 billion and that’s being generous. He posed on stage in a bizarre chainsaw display. Optics are everything, so when you have some weird guy with a hat, t-shirt, sunglasses, and a chainsaw awkwardly swinging the thing, you’re going to foster criticism. His support of Trump was weird to me as well. Trump is hardly a supporter of renewable energy and that’s Elon’s core competency.

Regarding the drug use…it wasn’t a big deal before because Elon wasn’t involved in government affairs. I’m a big Elon “the businessman” fan. He’s a business genius. I’ve said he should stay in his lane. Now that he is…good on him.
