I guess that you have to be old enough to appreciate the irony.
In Vietnam, we fought with the goal of a standstill, and we chose not to push to win.
In Ukraine, like in Afghanistan, winning isn’t possible.
The left’s zeal for Ukrainian’s to “fight until we are all dead” -and that includes all of the conscripts with no choice - is mind boggling when paired with their previous views.
I would have pushed to win in Vietnam - but when it became clear that wasn’t the goal, I (and almost everyone) favored getting out.
The same applies here to Ukraine (as it did in Afghanistan too).
Because most of these liberals here reflect the talking points of their DNC programmers, it makes me wonder why they are giving such a viewpoint to their drones.
It really makes me want a full accounting of where all of the Ukraine Aid money is REALLY going,
